Northfield, a township in Cook County last reassessed in 2016, is located on the City’s northside just east of Wheeling. Starting in 2019, Kane & Co will be publishing assessment facts by township. This is the sixth Township reassessment under Assessor Kaegi.
Northfield township is comprised of 24,131 parcels, with a preliminary 2019 Assessed value of $2.86 billion (34% higher than 2016). 96% is Class 2 residential, whereas 4.2% is Class 5 commercial and industrial. Commercial and Industrial values were increased by 82% as compared to the 14% increase for residential.
