Cook County Tax Redemption

Services will include the investigation of the status of the tax sale(s) and redeem unpaid taxes. Services typically include the following:


Phase I:  Due Diligence

  • Gather and analyze relevant information including prior year assessment notices, tax bills, notices of tax sales, leases, etc.

  • Review opportunity to vacate tax sale.

  • Quantify costs of redemption including taxes, penalties and fees.

  • Prepare timeline to highlight key dates for penalty increases.

Phase II: Redemption

  • Preparation of required documents to secure redemption of taxes.

  • File appropriate documentation and hand deliver final payment (cashier’s check).

  • Obtain final proof of payment and redemption.

Phase III: Process Improvement

  • Once the redemption process has been completed, Kane & Co. will assist Client by creating a compliance timeline to help Client ensure assessment review and timely tax payment.
