Maine, a township in Cook County last reassessed in 2016, is located on the City’s northside just south of Northfield and east of Elk Grove. Starting in 2019, Kane & Co will be publishing assessment facts by township. This is the fifth Township reassessment under Assessor Kaegi.
Maine township is comprised of 35,383 parcels, with a preliminary 2019 Assessed value of $2.33 billion (40% higher than 2016). 96% is Class 2 residential, whereas 3.2% is Class 5 commercial and industrial. Commercial and Industrial values were increased by 88% as compared to the 22% increase for residential.
