Leyden, a township in Cook County last reassessed in 2016, is located on the City’s northside just south of Maine and west of Jefferson. Starting in 2019, Kane & Co will be publishing assessment facts by township. This is the eighth Township reassessment under Assessor Kaegi.
Leyden township is comprised of 23,424 parcels, with a preliminary 2019 Assessed value of $1.74 billion (52% higher than 2016). 91% is Class 2 residential, whereas 8.2% is Class 5 commercial and industrial. Commercial and Industrial values were increased by 84% as compared to the 15% increase for residential.
